No progress to speak of.. been sick the last day and a half. BUT today I pick up my 203 that I had some machine work done to.
That will give me tha ability to mock up my drivline, have driveshafts made and get a lot more progress a lot faster. I have a lot of welding work to do.
Plate the inner frame,
fab and weld front and rear truss
Start bending tube for front and rear
BUild my inner trans tunnel and seat mounts

Yes I am selling them. They were built for 0-1"lift in a soa configuration. They have 4 trail rides and maybe 6 months of use as a weekend warrior. 200+ shipping which is less then half of what I paid for them.
Right on, i will pm you. I dont have a soa, but im sure i could make them work. I know how much they are, i just got a quote from alcan the other day.
I wish i had friends that did this kinda thing, or had the tools and shop to do it myself. What you have planned and what ive seen, it looks awesome. Keep up the good work.

I am using a JD2 that is mounted on a bending table with the air jack mod making it air over hydraulic on the cheap.
Between the bender Jd2 notchmaster, and the pipe master stuff I think I can get my tube bent pretty tight fitting. Still doing structural analysis on my tube plans for the rear. The main idea behind it is to use the least amount of tube while making it able to take a multiple roll situation.

LOts of bender options out there.. if I had to do it alll over again I think I would want the bender mounted vertically, or the ability to change how it is mounted. Really a pita if you are trying to make mutiple bends in one stick of tube.. especially if it uses over 10' of tube.

Well got out to the garage for a few today. Got the 203 in position. I really wish the 203 want so damn tall of a tcase. Because of the fact I am running it passenger drop and plan on running all my exhaust down the drivers side I really couldn't clock it. So my flat skid won't be all that flat.
The cool thing is the way the shifters look like they will line up it will be easy to build my own triple sticks. I also will be able to build a really good mount. Trans to back of range box.. Range box to back of d300.
Will post some pics in a while.

Well.. FINALLY got some work done today. CHemo kicked my *** last week so..
I was stuck in a rut on how to run the back.. Main reason is I plan on turning my rear 60 into a stering axle in the future and dont want to have to redo everything later Also with the way the frame widens on a MJ I have to build some new frame rails so I can mount my link mounts.
First thing I did was cut off the rest of the lower tube structure on the back... Then I ground off undercoating and paint, and galvinized coating. Then I took a piece of 4x4x.25 and welded it on top of the old frame rails and proceeded to weld on the new rear frame base. I plan on picking up some 4x2x.25 this weekend so I can make my rear frame. Cool thing about where this rear frame base mounted... is it is close enough in height that I will be able to tie my new inner frame into it.. thus strengthening all the new frame work.
Of course there will be tubes running down to it.. distributing the load back up.

Yeah I was diagnosed right before christmas with Squamish Cell Carcinoma of the tonisls, that spread to the lymph nodes. Just started treatment last week. Luckily I only get chemo on weeks 1,4, and 7.. BUT Everyday I go for radiation for the next 6 weeks for a total of 7 weeks.

SHe just turned a yr old a few weeks ago.. It is amazing how fast they learn to do things. I cant wait till she is old enough to go wheeling with me (wifey says 5). She is totally fearless in everything she does so far.
The Dr says I have a 95% chance of beating this.. so I am good with that. I had Acute Lymphoblastic Luekemia back in 2003 and they only gave me a 60% chance of beating that.. and I was healthy for 9 almost 10yrs... so I am good with the way things are.
