man that is a BAD *** jeep. those look great both front and rear..i think im gonna start work on some too. another question. so i have to make the front fenders? or can i weld the bent tubing onto the stock fender on my jeep? just grind all the paint off the fender and its basically the same surface right?

kinda pointless to do a tube flare and weld it to the stock fender. tube flares are strong, front fenders arent. If you wanna do it without the armor you are guna have to take it back to the inner wheel well in a few places AND the unibody rail on the very front and back

oh ya. duh. that makes sense. what are you making for fenders out of. 1/4" or 1/8"? or something different...? and which do you think would be better? making new fenders? or taking the tubes all the way back? it probably wouldn't look as clean if i took them all the way back im thinking...at least in the front. because in the rear i was gonna meet the tube fender to my rockers and then take it to the rear bumper...and eventually start building an exocage off of them.

i used 10ga which i think is .135 so just a hair over 1/8. any more seems a little silly to me because no one is shooting at me with an AK. I have seen some the the other way and they really didint look that bad. I cant seem to find where i have seen them though.
I welded in2x6 .25 wall rockers that stick out 2in and my bumper sticks out 1.5 on the sides so it should looklike it ties together
bumper ( you can see sticks out a little from fender)
rockers (not a pic of rocker but best shows stick out

You could also get a press brake and bend it that way

Here's mine. I didnt make the fender armor or anything like that. Mine are completely removable and yet very strong. And I have around 100 bucks into them.
