Some advice, before the paint flies.
Don't know how thick your tube on the rock rails is.
But I have a similar set up and the gap between the support tubes is too long.
I ended up bending the tube between supports on mine.
Granted I wheel it hard and often end up with 90% of the Jeep weight on the rail.
Regards

PS: See the link to my rock rails in my Sig.

The bumper had to be shaved a little last night so the tailgate wouldn't did. Notice a cover plate still needs added to the inside of the tailgate.
Here is the insert for the tailgate we are using. It is from a Ford Bronco. This way we can still get access into the mechanics of the tailgate if something mechanically wears out.
Next week is Primer Time!!!

LOL! You are so correct my friend and I am eating my words now because I have enough Blood Sweat and Tears in this thing that I don't want it messed up. LOL! Had to go to the Eye Dr yesterday and have her to pick metal out of both eyes. I've had stitches during this build, lots of burns, cuts, bruises, and so on. LOL. Also this thing was not supposed to go into depth this much when we started. We just kept building. LOL. Now the whole thing is one big fab and I hate to tear it up. I know, I'm a sissy. LOL!

Look at is this way, you did it once you can do it again.
I hated dinging mine the first time, they become badges of honor.
And good stories around the camp fire.
We can rebuild it better and stronger, like the 6 Million dollar man.

Oh PS you never really get done.
