Just a little amusement for the day: My BroNLaw stopped by the High School Auto Class yesterday and asked if the junk Suburban had the tail gate hinges on it. The instructor said, What do you need them for. He said, For a Grand Cherokee. The instructor looked at him really funny. Another guy standing there said, That's nothing, you should see the Ford truck bed on it. The look on the instructor's face was priceless. LOL.

After Curtis.g the entire wiring harness in half and hacking to add in approx 5 ft of additional wire to each wire in the harness so that we could reroute the harness through a different location, everything still works. Brake lights, license plate light, tail lights, third brake light, turn signals, rear defroster, everything works perfectly. And its all rerouted which had to be done because we had to take the harness through the side body panels and behind the metal we built for the inside of the bed. Awesome. Love it when a plan comes together. LOL.

VERY NICE! have you got the tailgat operational? Lets see some overveiw pics!!!

I still think it needs full widths. Something like this (granted its dove nosed, & a ZJ. But look at the beef!)

Thanks. Yes the tailgate will be functional but it is not yet. We are going to use suburban hinges for this. I still have to cap off the top edge of the tailgate and the inside middle of the tailgate will have one of the center plate that a truck tailgate has so you can get into the workings of the latch if you need to. This way I can cover the hole that is there and have a place to get into the wiring in the tailgate if need be.

Man that pic is sick. I like it. Is it yours. I have 33" 12.5 on this hence the reason we are working the fenders now.
