Here is my 87 2dr...Im getting some quotes on the cage now, since I dont have my own tube benders/welder. Cages are very important, so Ive limited what I do in her until she's got 'bones'

do you have a build up of how you did your canvas top? Id like to do that instead of welding in a steel roof

Default Thanks guys.

Thanks guys that thing was my heart and soul...
I used a YJ bikini top. But first I center welded a piece of tubing around the inside edge of the roof line and sealed it with silicone so that when the bikini top was taut it would seal..
Ill see if I can find some pics.

These don't really show very well. When I built this I wasn't into doing build ups.... sorry.

I had hundreds of hours in this monster. I drove it 750 miles to NY like this from NC to go wheelin with my cousins. I got pulled over 5 times. No tickets. They didn't find anything wrong..... just felt I had to be pulled. It was funny.

BTW thanks for bookmarking my site. We have recently upgraded all are parts. Our arms are now the toughest on the planet! all arms are 1.25 CR solid uppers and lowers.
all arms are threaded 5.75" and all thread ends are made from .281 wall DOM.
I tried to press one apart. It stalled my 50,000 LB press.

Hahaha That's sick man, did you swap in a front axle too? (I noticed you had an 8.8 rear)

No I actually just used a dana 30 with 297 shafts and a rare dana 30 limited slip I found in the attic an a local 4x4 center. I had to turn down the carrier a little to fit the 4.56 gears. I used a tera flex knuckle for the steering and used 1.5x.250 DOM for all the steering.

I had a HP 44 front I was going to re tube but I just didn't have the equipment I needed at my old place. I do intend on building a matched set of HP d44s front and rear with 35 spline internals for my next toy. I put all my current effort into the business.

A friend of mine spotted this a few weeks ago and the current owner told him he rolled it 3 times and drove it away. Cool but sad.

^^^^How is this tied into the frame? I hope that the A-pillar bar is not just welded to the door hinge

As soon as I get a job ..... lets just say, you'll be having a nice vacation! My rig is stock for now, except for 30" tires, but as soon as I have a few bucks coming in, I am ordering a snag load of parts!
