The jeep was ready for the summer but sometimes life throws ya a curve ball. My buddy bought a xj with a 5in lift on it but it need an adjustable track bar and a set of long arms to make it right. Since this is his daily driver and couldn't afford the down time to make it right he wanted to trade me his 5in lift for my 3in because mine was complete. So being the buddy that I am I had to take advantage of his misfortune ...errr I mean opportunity and make the trade. So far I have the rear leafs in and I have 12in of clearance between the tire and the fender, might be time for sum bigger rubber. I'm going to buy a track bar for it and fab up a set of lower and upper control arms.

I probably shouldn't share my stupidity with others but maybe this will help remind some one to be extra careful next time they jack up their rig. I went to adjust my jack stands and the whole jeep came tumbling over, thankfully no one was hurt. The only harm to the jeep was the jack stand punched thru the drivers side floor board. So next time you jack up you jeep be extra careful...I know I will.

Believe it or not it wasn't all that loud and it fell real slow it was kinda weird. Ya I about just shut the garage door and went to bed but I had to see if I could get her back on the stands. I enlisted the help of the wife to help ( boy was she excited) spot for me and then it was just a personal quest to solve my boo boo. Glad to report its back on the stands and more secure this time!

Glad you weren't hurt. But I always stick my tires under the frame so if it does fall it won't fall all the way down, and cut my legs off or worse.. I mean god forbid but you never know.

While I'm waiting for my parts for my long arm build I turned my attention towards the spare tire mount. I was going to mount it on the roof but that was going to raise the center of gravity and with the new lift and 34s it wasent going to be a lot of fun putting the tire up there. So my answer is to use the dead space on the back part of the cage to mount the tire. The tire mount I have already made will mount to this tubing
