No I cut them out when I removed the back half of the jeep. However, when I built the cage I had planed to run harnesses in the back anyway and I put the extra crossbeams in the back with a harness bar. I just have to find some now.

Well after a bunch of fine tuning I finally have a working tailgate. I still have to fab up some kind of locking mechanism for it though, I'm pretty sure im going to use linch pins.

Looks good. Those chains jingling around in the back would drive me insane. I'd at least have to have coated cables.

hey great job man. You gave me new ideas for when I chop my grand. I was toying the idea of extending the floor pan in the rear about 12-18" of my grand and make a p/u once chopped.

Well I finished welding up the frame and dropped it back in the jeep. Now I'm making up some templates for the skin
