thanks for the ideas
My '92 XJ has a saggy headliner too. Thanks for the great tip, now I just need to find some headliner material and get it fixed. Looks like a trip to wal-mart is in order.
Does it have to be material for a headliner, or do you think regular clothing material would work??? Like fleece or jean material??

I didn't use headliner material. I just used some heavy fabric. make sure its coated in adhesive heavily to stick forever. I would suppose denim would hold up great but idk if I'd like to look up and see denim up there haha it would be interesting to see. Post pics when done!

Has anyone thought about just putting in an aluminum sheet as a headliner?
Anyone want to chime in on as to what the (+) and (-) would be to going this route?

it would look pretty cool id make sure to put some kind of material between that and the meal of the roof probably be pretty noisy if it was metal to metal haha not to mention the cost of a lets say like a 4x8ft of diamond plate

custom head liner
i really like the look and how clean the cloth head liner is, but if you want fancy, i got the way to go. Custom WOOD head liner.
my custom wood roof
finishing corners
random cool detailing done by my dad above driver side
... and above passenger side.
Probably more time consuming and has no use what so ever (besides being totally quiet) but it sure does look cool.
thought i would put it out there.

i bought the camo off ebay, and the two cans of 3m at my local auto parts store. In all, it was bout $60.
i ordered 3 yrds by like 66 inches of fabric and had some material left over
30$ 3M + 30$ fabric=$60
