Friend of mine took this idea, but we cut the top off, he made a lid for it and it works quite well. No lift, fit 33s by cutting the fenders and turning them under. He stuffed 3x3 square tube as far down the uniframe rails as he could and built the tounge from that. Tracks nice on the road, and on the trail. Kept the shocks and the non-C-clip 35, but pulled the ring gear and refilled the diff to keep the bearings lubed.

Thanks for the info on Johnson's. That is about 25 miles from me.
Where is this underground bar at? You mean the Irish Pub in downtown Senoia?

ok been lurking for a while and had to register to tell the stories of my heep of jeep...
this is mine... and to make a few people feel a bit better, the black truck came hollo and is being turned into the first fully 1 ton mj (dodge dualy, deisel gets the cab and a flat bed. freind of mine is building it) i got it for free and kept the 44 that was still under it. the grey truck is my trailer looks like it was built by monkeys but is strong as hell. it only became a trailer after tboning a honda at 50mph. i did keep the rear section of the cab for either extra body parts, cheromanche build, or an xj trailer build like the purple one pictured.
btw my name is terence i live in ak and have been hooked on mj s for bout 5 years now. here is a pic of my dd '90
