I just put a slip yoke eliminator on my XJ and used a front shaft tha I had lengthened at the local driveshaft shop. works great, no vibration...

Well I put 6.5 RC lift on my XJ and I really would recomend a SYE and CV drive shaft when I go up or down steep inclines my drive shaft binds up and it don't sound to great. My whole thing is I don't want to spend 500$ on SYE and CV drive shaft. Does anyone have any ideas or know a cheaper way? And what's a WJ?

sounds like you might have some axle wrap issues if your d-shaft is binding on inclines AND decents.

There is no such thing a direct swap of a front DS to the rear of an XJ. You will need to do some sort or Slip Yoke Eliminator. Whether it be a full on transfer case overhaul or a simple hack-and-tap system. A stock XJ front shaft will suffice for most XJs up to 4" any thing longer than that will require a longer shaft. A front shaft from a ZJ can be used for extra length.

Here is a comparison picture from TheGreatGazoo's build thread.

The ZJ shaft is the longer one on the bottom.
This should solve most of the problems/questions everyone seems to have on this thread.

Does that ZJ shaft work with the ax-15 and a C8.25?

I have been trying to find a oem solution for a shaft with an ax-15.

I know it works for an AW-4 I'm not 100% on an AX-15
