Finally the day has arrived.....GAH, I RAN OUT OF PAINT!!!! T_T
So I finally, Finally, FINALLY got around to painting my precious Anya the beautiful Royal Blue she deserves to be. Now unlike most people on here, i'm too lazy to go through all the work of sanding, wet sanding, more sanding, one coat, wet sanding, 2nd coat, etc etc. I just got sick and tired of looking at faded freakin silver every time I saw my baby. So after reading several threads/posts in which people used rattlecan spray paint to paint their jeeps, I said " screw it! " and decided that's what I would do. I don't care if it isn't reflective-glossy, or if it's nice and smooth, I just want a basic paint job that will give Anya some class.
So today, I began the body painting process. I cleaned her, rough-sanded, cleaned her again, and started painting. For the hood, I bedlined it, also with rattlecan. I originally was going to bedline the whole thing, but ran out of bedliner, so decided to spray the rest directly on. I got 99.9% of one side done when...CURSES!!!!! I RAN OUT!!! So this is how she sits as of now, one side and the hood done, still need to do the roof, tailgate, and other side.
And yes, I'm aware there is paint on the windshield and windows...did I mention i'm lazy? Some invisible glass takes that paint right off and makes my windows/windshield sparkle ^_^ Love that stuff!
OK, so, first pic, from the side that's painted. It's darker than it shows in the picture, but the sun was kind of brightening the world. Meh.
2nd pic, me being creepy, showing off another couple of changes to Anya. Angry eyes and painted bezels/grill. That's light blue, by the way, but will be white eventually. The LB turned out uglier than expected.
3rd pic, me showing off my flabby glory in front of a rather pissed off Anya. ^_^ lol
Whatcha tink?
...where'd that 4th pic come from? hehe ^_^ My wifey and I on the wedding day ^_^

Not to be a jerk, but why do you think painting your car is a necessity when you're homeless? Also, that's not royal blue, and you really should spend more time on prep work.

it is royal blue, the pictures made it a lighter shade than it really is. and like i said, i dont want it to look professional. i just wanted a change from faded silver.
