cutting the backs can be fun.. when i cut mine to fit my tj fender flares on, i ended up having to do some welding of the fender, back to the fender wells. i also cut my rear quaters wile i was at it.

Here's mine cut with the flares back on, Best pic I got. If you look close you can see the flare starts at the top of the rocker instead of the bottom.

Only a few just to try it, but they were more like two inches apart so maybe that is where i went wrong. How "deep" are the slots? I can't cut them a whole lot more so i have to be a tad conservative. Good to know this will work on the rear, that needs a lot of help also.

How are you folding them back after the cuts are made

I had a body shop cut mine. Now they are flimsy as hell, like an aluminum can. Already starting to get that ****ty rippled look after one wheeling session.

Mine are like that for sure. I haven't put much stock in it cause I don't care, didn't fold them at all, have not trimmed and reattached the inner liner, and trimmed past the factory bump out which gives the fender most of it's structure in that area

use a swimming pool noodle from walmart, cut it to size and push it into the open area where you can see the door hinges. This will keep the mud and crap out and only cost 5 bucks to fix.

I didn't think of it either. I was there for some gay fake flowers with my g/f, and saw the noodles. I thought i needed one, but couldn't remember why. So for a dollar i bought one, and then a week later remembered why i needed it when it rained.

heres mine. I trimmed the rears to the spot welds and folded another 1/2" or so in, just put a slit in each top corner and the whole flap folded in pretty easily. I dont think I could get the rears to fit any better while working with the doors. fronts are self explanatory. had some pipe insulation in my back yard which was basically the same as a pool noodle, used that for the front hole.

leave your flares on, use a marker and mark the outside of the flares...

then cut them... perfect every time
