looks like you need to to turn up the heat a bit on the welds just take your time and walk that puddle along and bam, good start though and dont let ppl tell you that it has to be "dimes" it doesnt as long as it holds haha

She's coming along. Any more progress on it?
Big thing is to learn as you go. If you want to do another, you've got more experience under you belt and lessons learned from this design.

Got it mounted up today, sprayed it with some truck bed liner, need to finish bolting it up and wire the winch in, the roller looks a little off so I will adjust the bolt holes

Take your time and finish as you go...aka do it right the first time and don't say oh ill fix that later.
And don't be afraid to say "this didn't work out due to whatever" and start again from scratch. Remembering what you learned from the first time.

I used 1/4 plate to build it, not sure if that is a normal size or if people build them smaller, pretty sure it will work and hold, I have welded some VW front axles in the past with no problem

Looks good I made mine from 1/4 inch c channel We knotched and bent it over to get the shape.then used 1/16 th on the top. 1/4 inch frame brackets and 1/4 inch winch plate its heavy at like 140 lbs without the winch but its strong! I also used grade 8 bolts and cut some 1/4 inch plate for the inside frame Rail and used 1 inch square tubing for shims on the inside of the frame so it would not squeeze it together, driver side same way and used the sterring Box shim too.
