I actually kind of like how high the rack is, it will kep a tire nice and safe and you can load it up. if you cant go long go high right? its all about cubic space =]

fortunately for me i was able to go both high and long and wide lol....

thumbs up from 96_xj here!

Just one question, do you plan on carrying really tall stuff up there? Just wondering why the sides are so tall.
lol, i when i was making it i didnt think it was going to be that tall. It didnt LOOK that tall on paper... haha

Doesn't really seem like much of a "rack". It looks like anything you put in there will just sit straight on the roof.

That thing sits high. What do you expect to carry in that? I don't understand why you didnt just add more tubing to build the floor of the rack. It's useless if you cant use it.

Looks good man. I like the pic in the second post looks like you have a light pole as an antenna. LOL. Nice roof rack though. At least your school still has a metals program they cut that program from the school I went too.

Why's everyone hating on this poor kid's creation?
Looks good man! ESPECIALLY for making it in high school.

Yeah, what the hell's up with that anyways.

Ignore the haters bro! You built it how you wanted to build it, not the way anyone else did. I think it looks good!

Hey bro for your first time, that is a good job. Your next one will be even better. Dont listen to these guys.
When you first rode a bike it wasnt perfect, but as you rode more you got better.

Once again good job, and dont get discouraged.
