Highschool Tube bumper build- Winch behind the front X member

For tube I typically shoot straight into the joint and avoid trying to weave, 120 wall is so thin it doesn't matter.
Just practice practice practice.

I probably could run some, but I don't want to mess with it to much. I dont play in mud or deep water very often.
Do you mean how much space between the crossmember i made and the factory crossmember? Not much at all, about an 1/8"-1/4" at the most

well somebody doesn't build cages..... running a straight bead in tubing is useless... thickness of tube does not mean that you can just burn a bead around it and it will be alright...a welders ability to blow holes in material doesn't mean you can do what you want... a weld like you state you do will be inconsistant and ugly.. if he practices a nice tight row of C's, or U's he will get better at welding properly and put out a stronger more consistant weld..... a bad habit is harder to break than a good one it to learn to start with.
