I was thinkin of building on like those specs on pg1 i got those off here a while ago but never did it. maybe i will once i get off my lazy rear.

I really like the roof rack on that green jeep. Also like the flat green color.Im gonna paint mine flat black. Building my own front and rear bumpers and think Ill build the roof rack to. Im also wonderin how you attached it to factory roof rails?

Ya I can't find the color anymore it was perfect

Anyways the rack has pieces of angle iron (90*) welded to the square tubing. The lower piece of the angle has a hole in it and is bolted to the factory roof rack sliders (four on each side)

thanks for the props man! it was me if you didn't guess that...i'll let you know that this thing is heavy but solid!!! the only thing i'd like to change is my mounting system. i wanna add a bolt pulling up on the L tabs that hook under the gutter. it's on there solid but the top of my doors are rubbing the L brackets...that's my only reason for wanting to add them. i think that would fix the problem. pm me if you have any questions!

No I dont it was just kind of a quick thought and a build. And I cant get any more pics unfortunately because that one was four xjs ago

I thought about building another but it really wouldnt fit with any of the other xjs I have, it takes a special xj to pull off a roof rack

I'm building one now; after much searching and getting ideas, but if I has see where someone made one out of electrical conduit, I would have gone that route. Mine is heavy!
