I built them using 2 stock linkage sets. I have photos in my profile with a description on each photo. Place your mouse over the photo to see the description. It wasn't too hard. See what you can get accomplished. Always ready to help out if I can. I currently need to build some lower control arm skid plates. First need to figure out the best way to do it. I scored a factory skid plate from the junk yard and installed it. After taking a photo I realized I had waffled the passenger lower control arm bracket. Doh!

forgot to ask. Did you make these for a lifted or stock jeep. Are they stock length? If so, during the build do you think you could have added another 3-4 inches?

i really like your disconnects! ill be copying your idea if you dont mind. are you going to make the lower axle mount one a double shear and use a pin and clip like the top? i think i might try that when i find some extra stock links. that way i can just take them off completely and put them in the trunk.

I built these for a 3 3/4" lifted XJ. Adding the two links together added around 1 3/4" to the link. The Square stock, cut out on one end to make the upper mount, added another 1 3/4" roughly. You can increase the length a little by adding washers when you mount the square stock to the sway bar.

I am very happy with them. I plan on drilling a hole in the lower stock mounting bolt and using it as the lower quick disconnect. Doing it this way I would have to uncouple the top link first so that the linkage can be slid off the lower bolt since the lower bolt is stock and will still be fastened to the vehicle.

Copying someones idea is the greatest compliment you can get so yes I hope everyone does.

One thing I would do different is this. The jig I made to keep the ends in line worked great but next time I would actually bolt the lower and upper linkage parts on the vehicle and tack them. Them remove them and finish the weld. That way they will be perfectly aligned with the mounts and make it easier to remove and replace.

Cheers!
