Ok so after reading this for a while finally decided to add my little mods.
And sorry for pics quality.. had to use the phone.
Ok so..

We fabbed the A-shaped piece of the front bumper(rest of the bumper was made and modified by the last owner). Oh and also painted fenders black.

Replaced cig lighter with winch switch (has a blue backlight to see it in the dark ) + added a few cig lighters to keep things running. The black button under the winch switch is my starter button

These 2 switches are for roof lights.. left for front and right for rear lights. Green led-s to annoy/let me know the lights are on

Also made a little lid for the rear panel hole + going to add another cig lighter there.

Nothing fancy or big but a mod is a mod right?

At the moment they are all from the original wire.. Have'nt tested yet. Might have to run all seperate tho.

I got the idea for moving the vacuum tank from someone here on the forums. Unfortunatly I don't remember their name but if you search "vacuum tank" or similar I'm sure you'll find them, so props to that individual for the cool idea. The hi-lift mounts are simple. I brushed, primed and painted them flat black. I used self-tapping screws to secure them to the bed. What's on top or whats covering the bed is some very cheap foam/rubber padding. ($17 for a pack of 4 squares each measuring 2x2ft). I trimmed them to fit. Wasn't too hard. It cuts down on the fule pump hiss a little and also prevents all my stuff from sliding around. The nuts are pretty funny, I think. Went to Tacoma Screw and paid $12 a piece for those and they aren't galvanized or zinc or anything. Just the low end type. I wire brushed them, put on 5 coats of primer and 2 coats of what I thought was outdoor silver. It wasn't. So after more wire brushing and 2 more coats of primer and 2 coats of a Krylon external silver coating they are done
The nuts crack me up. I think I am going to do something along the lines of that. What size nuts did you use?

Except when you're stuck next to a tree and you wouldn't normally be able to open your door. They're good for that.
