Could also be a difference between years. I haven't messed with many 97+'s.

Here's. Cheap way I modded my airbox

Homebrew Jeep Mods-image-2642384995.jpg

I used an internal 3" street 45 and it's has given me some good kick and it still has that stock vacuum pull. It's a good cheap mod Instead of getting the AEM or a cowl intake

There's a silencer in the lid of your airbox right where the intake tube is. A link was provided earlier today that shows what/where it is and how to remove it.

Switch panel in overhead console and WJ rear sway bar links used as extended links up front. I'm at roughly 5" of lift and they fit perfectly. My jeep didn't come with a console factory so this was added when I redid the headliner. The dome lights are wired in to work without the controller for the MPG/Temp/DTE display. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics at night

I have a question someone could help me with. So all of the holes on the air intake system have been sealed. So how does it get air? Hahah no, really my question is what happens to the rain water that come into the snorkel?

I think they stopped putting them in the 97+ years.

You shouldn't get that much rain water in your airbox with a snorkel.

How long are those links out of curiosity?

Check it every now and then. A little water sitting at the bottom of the box won't go into your engine. It would take a long long time for it to fill up with rain. Look at the safari snorkels... They don't even have a box and you don't hydrolock in the rain.
