It does, you don't have the frequency responce you get with sealed enclosures or ported boxes, they tend to bottom out long before the others do. I've done it all built it all been an installer for over 20 years competed in iasca and db drags all over and never seen anyone use a free air set up

I understand that. If you wanna blow your Windows out and rattle your neighbors teeth free air sucks. If you don't have much space and you want a nice sounding system they're great. You know how small the trunk in my 66 is ? It probably cuts off around 30 or 35 but it still thumps and sounds good. Surprisingly enough they handle 200 watts each quite well in that configuration.

I love my sub box. It's huge and 70lbs but it sounds amazing. With my box, a 180w Alpine amp, and one 2ohm 12" type r I outperform my buddies 1000w mtx system. Best part is, my ENTIRE system cost me a total of $117 which includes speaker wire, headunit.... everything.

i made a bumper, and some other stuff
made a bumper out of 7 inch pipe and a brushgaurd of 2.5 inch, bolted the front flair to the fender, cut all the rust off under the doors, added an puch button start switch to bypass the often nonfuctioning keyed one, and add a stap on the inside that connects the the rear hatch to be opened from in side the jeep, and just put in a glass pack muffler
