You call this redneck tech? I have a crappy "chrome" intake also and I like this a lot better - CAI and snorkle in one, and yeah it's made of PVC

My intake was a scrap piece of 3" PVC and a couple left over hose barbs from a job I did, aswell as a free filter from my cousin. My stock filter was bad, and I was tired of removing the air box all the time to work on the Jeep. It doesn't look good, but it was a free fix at a time that I really had no money. I plan to replace it with something better, but for the time being it's functional and not costing me money.

At F1 Addict; Thanks for the pics and write-up, much appreciated. I'm still a bit foggy on how you got the outlet and extension cord married up? Did you cut the extension cord, then wire it to the outlet? If so, simple enough, just didn't see how that was done. Thanks!

Yep, I just cut the end of the cord off and wired to the outlet. The heavy gauge wiring and 100A fuses are overkill for the 750W inverter but I plan on upgrading to 1500 watts and don't want to have to re-wire everything.

Homebrew Jeep Mods-forumrunner_20120118_142256.jpg

Front folds down, little tray for some basic tools; wrenches screw drivers, that sort of stuff. In the towel is a can of fix a flat and a stock jack, I don't have half the parts for it so its pretty much just in there till I get a high lift. Also a 20 foot recovery strap. Gonna do a black and white paint job to match my xj
