Correct. They did change it to a 2-piece manifold in 2000/2001. The ports in the 0331 head are smaller/different than earlier models, and the exhaust manifold was separated to accommodate the 2 pre-cats and 4 o2 sensors.
While it technically is a more efficient design (along with the intake redesign), the gains are negated my the emissions equipment. This is why the engineers changed it to begin with - to keep the power numbers the same despite the restrictive emissions equipment.

lol, i also plan on putting my batt in the cab (just like i did on my '84) and possibly running dual batteries, ;3, so the 2awg has a little bit more of a hidden purpose than just running a 1600watt (peak) inverter :-D

About the only thing I know about electricity is that the Black wires tend to be EVIL!!!! What I was wondering is, the instructions for my inverter tell's me to use 4ga wire for a permenet auto install. But the darn thing came with a auto acc cord that plugs in to the lighter socket. I know that cord was no 4ga wire (maybe 20ga). Why do I have to go medievil on the permenat install wire?

The tray is made of one piece of plexiglass glued to another that acts as a lip to keep the computer from slipping off. The stem for it is made from gas pipe fittings and cheap steel fence mounts.
