It looks to me like he did a fine job, and it mounts the way HE wanted. His reasoning is sound, it mounts solidly, and he should be applauded for his efforts!

Show us pictures of the rack YOU built.

Woah easy, it was just a suggestion. I wasn't putting down his work, or talking crap about it. Not like I said "Wow this guy sucks" or whatever. I havent built my rack yet. Still coming up with the fund. Just putting an opinion out there for other future builds. my bad

Wow, that is some really nice work. beautiful job. You can tell that's quality work by looking at it. I like that it's bolted to the roof. It'll rattle less and you don't have to worry about someone stealing it. Awesome job. That's got to be the best "homemade" one I've seen.

Thanks all of y'all for the positive feedback.....

As of right now i am building the tire mount for the top of the rack, mounts to the metal plate with 4 holes in the previous pictures, and still doing some planning for the off-road lights...

I would love some suggestions on how to hide the wiring and make the wiring really clean, as well as some feedback on what kind of back up light y'all would suggest...
