Hey good luck with building the bikes! I'm building a GS450 (I got it for free) but I would really like to find either a Honda CB750four or an old aircooler BMW to do next. If I had a better budget (I'm a college student) I'd find an old Triumph to restore. Believe me if you start building them it gets addicting. Good luck with looking! I'd love to see your build on them!

Yeah, ill let you know what happens with it. We are also in the process of house hunting so it might be a while before we get anything. Here is one of the built ones we were looking out. http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/2504223219.html

Well I just threw 4 KC 130W Daylighters up on top of the Jeep last night and this morning! They look great and are super bright! I'm very happy with them. For budget lights (around $260 for all 4) I'm not sure if I could beat them For a more detailed write up please go to my build thread shown in my signature. Thanks

Awsome rack. Out of all the rack builds on here i would say i like yours the best. Great job. How much did it cost you to build? i wish i could weld, but this gave me the motivation to start. I would love to see that kayak mount too. keep us posted.

Thanks man I really appreciate it! total cost was under $100. It was about $30-$40 for the conduit and about $40 for the gutter mount brackets. Kayak mount keep getting postponed but it will be coming

I bought them from a local truck and auto store. They were around $130 for a pair. That comes with the wiring, switches, fuses, relays, and whatnot. I bought an extra 100ft of red and black wire to run it up to the roof rack. Both a 100ft red and black spool cost $12. It's cheap wire but oh well. A couple places online had them for about the same price but I never found anyone cheaper than that.

Right on! That came out really nice! Now I didn't check to see if anyone asked this but would you say you could stand up there on it? I wanted to build a platform, essentially, and thought about the JRC mounts. Now I was thinking 8 instead of 4 but how would you say the whole thing holds up with weight?

Ya, I often wonder if I'm not just skating around doing a cage. I really want something that will hold up to a tree bump and just be a round tube framed platform, possibly with perforated metal as a floor, so I can stand up there or strap down what's needed. We'll see, it's on that never ending list of things I want to do.
