thats really cool, ive never though of putin a fan in there. i was thinkin of havin the opening facing towards the grill, but i still like the fan idea, would having both work? would it suck in too much water when it rains u think? is thier a particular reason you put the opening facing the winshield? i take it the fan is waterproof obviously. sorry to ask so many questions, ive never really gotton into scoops till recently

the only reason of face to the grill is:
1.- you have an intercooler under the hood. (turbo & diesel cars)
2.- have a ram air intake (muscle & race cars).
3.- it just look cool
so i decide not to face it to the grill because:
1.- i donīt have a turbo neither a ram intake.
2.- when it rains a massive amount of water will be in my engine bay.
3.- if i get stuck in mud or rocks, i wont have air running to the intake. (((thats the reason of the fan)))
4.-cold air is heavier than the hot air... so hot goes up
5.- it is easier to get out the hot air from the top than from the bottom.
(((why?? phisics)))
i take it the fan is waterproof obviously...
no, itīs not it is a cheap 10 inches fan arround $40 i think, today and yesterday rained too much and only found some drops into my engine today.
thats the 1 reason of facing it to the windshield the other is simple phisics. hot goes up and cold down.
it is easier to extract hot air from the hood. than
pull cold air against hot air and turbulence inside the hood and water and dust and insects and you cant use the fan as an extractor...

ahhhhh, gotcha. i just figured when im rollin down the road air would be pushed through the scoop to cool the engine, now that you put it that way, it does make alot more sense. in addition to the looking cool thing
yours is pretty sweet lookin, i think ima do somethin like that when i do get some time to sit down and work on it
