Real nice work!!

I'm helping pops96 with his Jeep and we did the same thing with the leaf mounts. Welded them on the braces going to the sliders. We got the sliders all hung and welded up today. Monday we're gonna start redoing the rear shock mounts to get rid of that "ear" setup.

I was going to do that with my rear shocks but I plan to move the axle back 1 1/2 in when I swap to a better axle. I will fix my shock mounts then.

Other side

Still got some cleaning up to do. We got a late start so we were trying to bang em out as fast as possible.

Tomorrow we're gonna start on the rear quarters. We're gonna do a cut and fold and then replace them with some 2x4x3/16"s connected to the rear bumper.

Thanks. Its not going to bad considering its pretty much both of our 1st time building up something like this. I had a s-10 with a SAS swap that me and another friend built up. So this is kinda my 2nd build. But I'm still pretty new at it.

Heres a few pics of my s-10 just for the hell of it:

HP Dana44 Ford 9" 36" Swampers

HP Dana60 14 Bolt 39.5" Swampers

Then I parted it out.

Got the rear bumper all finished up today. We worked on it last week and got 1 side done then took a week off. Also got the rear quarters cut and welded back up and started laying body filler down on the rear fenders to smooth em out.It was hot as hell out today but we still got quite a bit done. Enough rambling,,,on with the pics...

Side we finished last week. I took another pic but it came out blurry for some reason

Starting on the other side. Pops doing some cuttin

Then the grinder strted to take a ****. So I had to finish it off properly. Held it to a piece of metal ******* it out till it blew up. It was smoking like a chimney and then popped and shut right off. Should of gotten a vid of it but we forgot. It was too much fun...lol...Took it back under warranty and got the 10 amp version instead.

Got it all cut out to how we wanted and then welded up a 1/8" plate to cover it up

Me doing some welding:

Cleaning it all up

The BFG (Big F'n Grinder) LMAO...Thing must weigh 20 lbs

All finished up. (for the most part) We brushed it with black AG paint and it came out like crap so we're gonna sand it smooth and then spray it through a gun.

We'll be at it again tomorrow with the body work. Then it'll be time to start layin the floors back in. More pics tomorrow. Enjoy!!

Thanks.

Yeah its alot of work but it should look good and be damn near indestructible once its finished.

We test fit a set of 35x10.50 Boggers under it last week just to get an idea of what tire size to go with. So I guess this is what he's gonna buy to put under it.

He's also got a line on a HP44 and Ford 9" for a good deal that he's gonna pick up. The 44 has the cast in wedges so we're gonna re-tube it and shorten the axles up a bit so the tires don't hang out too much. It'll also be getting a 3 link w/panhard up front when we swap the axles in.
