Nice.

I started with the same cage kit. For the money it's a great starting point and fits very well.

I don't mind the bars that wrap around the dash and I'm quite fond of having my dash so it'll stay like it is.

I added a harness bar front and rear as well as an X at the b-pillar.

ya its definitely a great starting point and one of the best fitting cage kits I've seen out there.

i got most of the plating on the B pillar done today

Nice. I need to tie mine into the pillars.

That cross bar that runs under your steering column is going to be a knee banger for sure though. Got plans for the rear portion?

Ya I'm probably gonna throw some roll cage padding on that bottom tube when it's all done but it's only about a inch and a half lower than I had it when it was mocked up to bend over the steering column. As far as the rear goes I'm probably gonna mount a third bucket seat in the back so I'll probably just add a harness bar in the C pillar.

i got most of the cage to cab plating done, i used 16 gauge plate

B pillar

then i started tying my seat mounts into my cage, im probably gonna run a tube across the bottom of the B pillar to have more tie ins for the seat mounts

Any reason for using flat steel to tie the cage to the pillars instead of tube? Seems like it would limit visibility.

Great work! I am 6'3'' and there is no way i would not have a head injury riding in that thing though... I'll have to do an exo just because im already too damn big for a Cherokee. LOL

Keep up the good work!!!

I don't really have a reason other than its how I've always seen it done, I did most my cage research on prerunner/desert racing websites since that's what my jeep is being built for.

I got the seat mounts tied into the cage today

I'm not sure I like the plate welded in the windhield are. It seems like it makes a blind spot.

I just noticed that you put your b-pillar farther back than I did. I guess that's due to the 6'2" leg room you say you need. My cage b-pillar is in the same spot as the stock b-pillar.

The floor section looks nice. What seats do you run?
