Looks awesome! What did you use through the cowl and out of the fender? What did you use after the 180* peice before the shower drain? It looks like it gets wider.

Nice work. Nice clean ride too. Time to dirty it up and test that snorkel

I too like the idea of coming out closer to the door on the fender. This might be my favorite DIY snorkel. Tell me more about the prefilter, or were you talking about the water drain?

What did you use for a seal on the tube going into the fender?

Default to match stock intake

stock intake on mine is 3" x 2.25" = 6.75 sq/inchs
tube intake would be a circle, circle area = pi x r squared. 6.75/pi(3.14) = r squared. 2.15 = r squared. square root of 2.15 is 1.47 = r.
rounding up, the tubing would need to have an ID of 3 inches.
I think that I did that right.

You just made my brain hurt. However I think its right. I've always heard 2.5" id. However this is supposed to be an upgrade so bigger is better.
Moveover you are using the stock air filter box still right? That's part of the reason I like these kind of mods. Stock filters are cheap and easy to replace.

Not too bad. Personally I would have cut the drain trap so the opening faced directly forward of the Jeep and found a way to attach some sort of "grill" to it then. The only thing I don't like about it is that the air inlet faces downward.

Just got a rubber casket at Autozone and fit it to size.

I drive the truck everyday in heavy rains even in hurricane Irene.no problems what so ever. The fact that it faces somewhat down wont let any water in the prefilter helps with other stuff like bugs and leaves.I also checked the stock airbox after the storm both box and filter bone dry.
