I have been chasing touch ups for the last week and stripping/painting the chrome handles/windshield trim. Painting portion is done. I need to let it bake in the Vegas sun today then I will be wet sanding tomorrow. Saturdayish I will post pics of the final painted project. Lift will be here the 26th if FedEx is good to me. So I should have lifted pics by the end of the month.

I have to decide what to do for a paint job when the rest of my clearcoat finally flakes off... Damn snowplows kept chucking roadsalt and gravel on my hood and it would be frozen there for a couple days. The last year parking on the side of the road at college has taken a toll on my paint.

Looks good man, well executed. I think i would have personally liked the green/brown a bit darker. but that's just personal preference, killer job.

Me too. I was hoping it would be a bit darker. I went with Aervoe because their paint meets federal color standards. The PDF file I got from them looked like the light green and field drab were a dead on match. Next time I will have to get real color chips from them. It does look a lot better than the Krylon though.

These are the last two jeeps I painted with Krylon and a HMMWV for reference.

Have you done one with the winter/russian colors? Gray, black, white?

No on the Russian set up yet. If I were to do a Russian scheme it would definitely be the SU-27/MIG-25 blue. Aervoe does make the digital colors though which would make a grey urban scheme relatively easy to put together.

Here's an F-16 with the Russian/Eastern Block aggressor schemes

That XJ with that tan was a PITA. Krylon changed their nozzles (lol, he said nozzles...) to the "no curtain" flapper style. They are crap. $#!T ended up with so much over spray and raspberries I almost walked out.

Yeah, those color schemes would be wicked. I was always partial to that winter and urban camo pattern
