question about fender trimming
Ok...I have read a **** load of post blog thread whatever u want to call them..but I couldn't find any that said cut this high to reuse the stock fender flares ...I want to trim the max I can to still use my stock fender flares...I know I have to trim them to just don't know wear...anybody find something I couldn't I would greatly appreciate it.

just did this yesterday. I cut 1.25 inch from the front fenders, and still was able to mount the stock fender flares back on. And the important thing is that just gave me the clearance that I needed.
Basically you just remove the flare, bolt back up the flare mount to the fender well. Drill 6 1/4 in holes about a half inch above the existing mounting studs.
Now cut the fender and flare mount about 1/8in above the existing stud.
I used 1/4 in bolts and lock nuts to bolt the cut flare mount back on. I feel it worked great and gave me the extra clearance I needed.

I also removed 1 inch from the flare itself.
