Check out the tire carrier on my bumper. Page 2 of the thread has details on the carrier mounting. You could have a spare tire option!

That bumper looks great.
I like its strength, but you may want to investigate connecting to the frame with a nutplate to get more strength.
I just put a receiver hitch on my 91, but used a fabbed unit which directly mounted to the frame. I had used it on my 87 which finally died at 320 k miles. There is an optional nutplate which slips into the frame through the opening behind the bumper and which allows you to mount the fuel tank skid pan, a hitch, or the pulling hooks to it. You would be in shear that way rather than just pulling against the weldnuts in the back.
I notched out my stock bumper to accommodate the reciever system. I also mounted the wiring adapter inside behind the left tail light assembly to feed a flat four connector. You can access the right turn wire inside the panel on the left side inner fender and feed the wires from the adapter to the flat 4 connector through the removable plastic plug by slitting it.

I have the factory nutplate holding the reciever and tank skid.
I removed the factory bumper mount weld nuts and made reinforcement plates to sandwich the body and add support. I have thought about connecting it to the receiver/tank skid/frame, but I've had no problems yet. And it's been on almost 2 years and many off road trips as well as my DD.
I have the OEM trailer wiring 7 pin kit! I plug my tag light into it.
