Welded some flat plates from the rack they go to the back side of the drip rail,i welded some small angle iron to another flat piece of steel and bolted the two together.rack comes off in a couple of mins and its wiked light.

 

Ah nice i have the same rack made out of the same stuff but it's just u-bolted down to the stock cross bars. I wanted to make a better fastening system and yours looks pretty cool!

I'm in SE Washington state. Here's a couple pics of my rig. I'm thinking about doing vents like yours and been tossing around ideas to make a rack on my cage but not sure yet how I will do it.

You said you only spent 40 bucks on the roof rack? How did you manage that because when I went to price the stuff out it came up to 100 bucks. What all did you use
