don't forget it may mess with the structural integrity of the uni body, think when your flexin real hard ant you cant open the hatch because its jammed up from flex, im not sure how doing a 2piece hatch would effect this?

Build yourself a nice 6pt roll bar or cage.
I had a 6 pt roll bar in my 2dr XJ then I chopped the roof. It was tied into the floor over the front leafspring purches. the top of the rear wheel wells, and the quarter pannels behind the tail lights. It held up nicely. Good enough that when I was stopped in construction traffic on the highway, and someone hit me with there brandy new nissan doing 50+ mph. That I was able to open the doors, and drive the jeep home afterwards. After getting the jeep home realized my gas tank was 1.5" shorter, the unibody frame was bent in about 5 places within the first 2 feet, and one of my main leafsprings where bent. Considering the accident, and that both the car in front, and car behind had to be flatbed towed. I was happy with how the jeep held up.
