Thanks, but by off do you mean to say a round would have looked better? I think just the opposite. I like the rounded ones when its on a truggy or something but the XJ has too many squared lines for it to look right. IMHO.

We thought about the mini-skid but I didn't want a catch bucket for water/mud crossings.

Yeah this is one of the cleanest bumpers I have seen great job! I think the only thing I would add is some tube supports from the bottom of the stinger where it starts to wrap under, up to the bumper tube near the corners, under the marker lights.

Badass!

MY question is... how far above the hood line is your stinger top? Also how far out is it from the front of the header panel? My only concern is was if you were to take a roll that your stinger would not protect your radiator.

Besides that cool looking bumper

Thanks! Ya, put a some towards the back more but decided to leave the front more open in case they hung me up trying to climb a ledge. I can jump up and down on the sides without deflection.

This pictures exaggerates a little on how far up it sticks, but I'd say its just enough that you can almost look under it from a driving vantage.

Thanks, I'm not sure what type of roll would get my radiator but I suppose it could happen. The stinger definitely isn't going to fold over so the damage won't come from it but its got the front end pretty well protected.

Right on then! I'd do it more for the looks.

Not sure what kinda wheeling you do.. but I like the hill climbs that are off chamber with big rocks I have yet to see it happen a a xj.. but I have seen a few TJs take flops and up on their roof. I have been trying to get mine to go over on a few lines for the last few yrs, and each yr I try a stupidier line.. and still make it... ALthough this yr I pulled cable to prevet it from happening... only cause I had a passenger.

lol, nothing like that I suppose. Mine is still a DD so once I graduate into another vehicle, we'll see. I'm shooting for stock body, well protected deal. I got some off camber air time at Uwharrie last weekend but drove out of the roll before it happened.

Thanks guys! We'll definitely make more. I sorta hoped we could add it to the Rover bumper line up he currently has. Give Denny a should and he'll quote you one.

Not much of a tube bumper fan, but I have to admire the clean fab! It is definitely a nice bumper.....clean lines man.....clean lines!!

It also looks like a nice start for an exo-cage

Thanks man, I'm hoping it eventually grows into one. I've always had a thing for the mobile jungle gym look.

Love the bumper. After I finish my cage I plan to build a similar one. I need a winch on mine though cause not alot of guys that wheel in my group have one.

Thanks, I can feel that. This bumper will actually get a winch fairly soon. Funds are just stretched across a couple projects at the moment.
