Default Tube doors build

Ok so I bought some pre-bent tube doors from jeeptubes.com I don't have a bender so this is a good way for me to go . Now a helpful hint get the jeep JK doors they seam to be the same size as the xj but they are 22.00 cheaper!!! But don't run out and get them now wait till my build tread is done just in case I'm wrong 😬. On that note I did measure and they are about 3'1" long so they will fit !!

Some things to take in to consideration

You have to build your own hinges and latch
Hinges are easy the latch I'm going to use a simple gate latch you will see later
And as you can notice the ends aren't cut to an angle .. So they won't just but up together !! Now I work at a fab shop so cutting them will be easy . But still I think jeeptubes.com should have done this for you .

I agree. Why sell bent tubes for a door kit and not notch them out?

I would contact them....maybe they spaced notching them before they sent them out. If not maybe they don't do it because of fitment reasons, fitting might be easier on a case by case basis. Could be wrong....I dunno lol

They don't notch it for you to make it cheaper... if you have a welder you should have an angle grinder. If you don't have either there's no reason to get the kit

I supposed not having a bender is a good reason but man, those things are overpriced.

Agreed at that price the tubes should be notched and come with block off caps. No more tube then they use in the kit. WOW they give you 4 bends and two stright pieces... I am in the wrong buisiness.

Ok guy lol the reasons I choose this route is 1. I wanted to make half doors but Every JY wanted 50 to 60 buck a door jeeptubes was a lil cheaper and I think they will look cooler 2. Had no pipe bender

Ok back to business I used a hand grinder with a cut off wheel and eye balled my angles . I wanted to (for the most part ) put them together with hand tools so the every day guy could do it .. Metal is very for giving so if you cut off a lil to much you can alway fill it in with weld
