sorry sandaddik for the slow reply. I started with two pieces of 1/4" steel 5.5" wide, and 17" long. Then I notched the upper corners with a hole saw to rest the tube in, and the cut the diagonal. I had to notch the back end a bit to fit around the sway bar as well.

I wish I had some updates/new pics, but school has priority, and its been a little hectic around here. Maybe ill have some time to throw at it this weekend. But recently its just been collecting a little rust.

Very nice bumper man! i was thinking to make one similar to this in my Fabrication class. Those Mig welds you showed look very good, the only problem I can see with them is the leg sizes. (There is more weld on the tube than the base)
