1997 xj rocker panel question
I was going to start replacing my rocker panels with either square steel tubing or round tubing. I'm just wondering what type of welder is the best to use for this job? thank you

MOAR WORK PICS
Ribs cut and welded in. Low spots on top were filled in with weld, and ground smooth for the plate to follow...
Plate in...side shot to show the gap
Just some shots of the side plate...AR400, rosettes cut for the ribs
Installing
Front and rear shots of where it's going
Here we go...
Fit like a glove.
Top and bottom comparison shots...there was a huge gap there people. Should run much smoother now.
Cylinder was supposed to be in Friday, moved to Monday...I'll try to get shots of the cylinder going in, but a lot of it may happen before my shift.

Not criticizing. It was just a funny mental picture.
I wonder how much weight it would add if you laid a pad of beads on every surface.
Good assumption in a welding thread.
