No, I don't lick fish.
This stuff right here....

It's prolonged the life of my internal and external glass by a HUGE margin, removes light scratches and keeps any shop dust from building up. Highly recommend.

So I got this little repair job I picked up....
These either WEREN'T factory welds, or the nuby was working that day. Pretty sure this has been repaired before though.
Holy grinding dust, batman...
Wifey decided to sneak out and take pics....
Not sure what all these booger welds were about that I had to grind down... they weren't even on a seam.
Haven't gotten around to taking pics of the welding yet... that'll have to wait until monday or tuesday though.

So I learned the difference between and why we use shielding gas. Took me a moment to figure out what was going wrong...
I thought this looked ok. I'm still trying to get down the cadence and movement of welding. I just need more practice.
And this just looks massively terrible...I also learned about uphill and downhill welding, and why they're a little more difficult. Especially on this stupid section.

So after my previous crappiness the passenger side is in. Most of the welds looked good. a few janky spots and i only burnt through the frame twice. For the downhill welds I turned the machine's voltage down one notch and it didnt have an issue after that.

lol.... I've got a lot more beating on it to do. Thing is bent up pretty bad. I'm going to wait until all the welds are done for that though.
What machine are you using?

2nd try at uploading these pics...
I honestly don't know why I ran a full bead around these... I know better. I'll fix 'em for him when they crack.
Ended up cutting out this mess at the front instead of trying to patch over each little hole.
Made a patch plate out of a piece of .120 wall 2x4 tubing that I had sitting around doing nothing, and stitched it in.
So currently, it's standing up on end with ratchet straps holding it up.
I ran out of wire and cutoff wheels... gotta wait until this weekend to get more.

Just wanted to post an update on my Sentinal hood. Been using it daily for a while now, and I love it more and more. Since I've gotten it, I've only replaced the coverglass ONCE. There's a reason why, though.
