I think that your rack looks great and looks even better caz the material was free.
Also ive welded rebar b4 and I was told that when u make a weld on rebar the weld weakens the metal because the rebar is so porus Idk if that tru I only made a few decorative pieces with rebar nothing loadbearing
So I wish u the best of luck with the rack post pics when you get ur lights on
