1998 Cherokee sport interior color
I need help with what color exactly is the tan interior color called. I read somewhere it was desert tan but I want to be sure I’m planning on restoring my door panels. Thanks so much for your help.

IIRC the colour is called "Saddle". I've seen it referred to as "Camel" as well. But maybe those are two different colours used in different years or maybe a ZJ/WJ thing.
Pretty sure you can nail it down with some google searches.

'98 is technically called Saddle.
But I have seen some pictures of '98's where it really looks Camel.
Which is a '99 to '01 tan.
Could be the pictures/lighting but I have a little theory too.
That maybe, stress the word maybe, later manufacture date '98's might be Camel.
I doubt that but.....
Anyway good shot to show the difference between Saddle, '97 and '98, and Camel, '99 to '01.
Saddle on the left.
Oh and for everybody else.
Mist Gray, '97 and '98, and Agate, '99 to '01.
Agate on top.

What I believe it is is Indigo/Linen. Could also be Camel. Running the VIN in Jeep's 'Build Sheet' site should tell you exactly, under 'Optional Equipment' (it should be the first option listed under that section). Put in your VIN after the '=' sign (don't put ANY spaces after the '='), but make sure you use ALL capital letters, as it's case-sensitive:
