Cool

Hey cruzin, saw your rig in CRAWL, looking good.

The pix were from an XRRA event here in the springs. They were rock racing, but it could happen anywhere. I want to use the rocks because most people think its a waste of time, way over kill, and a stupid idea. I just like to stand out from the crowd. I have never built a "box" car. Meaning I am always trying crazy "stupid" things. I don't like tho cookie cutter look of 45 identical TJ's going down the trail. I want to have the rig every one is standing around wondering "how'd he do that?" Besides, its all in fun. Some people may spend countless hours doing things the "easy" way because that's all the want. That's fine, just not for me. I didn't mean top hijack this thread: of course, I didn't do it alone.

I will NOT be using the stock 4.0, or ant of the original drivetrain. I will also be using a very big tire as well.

any update on this project? or is it just another all talk rig?

2.5 tons are just stupid for rock crawling, rock/desert racing, or anything besides running through mud. and even then its still pointless unless you're running 60"+ tires and a big engine

Care to back this up with any logic? I'd like to know why you think this.

thats an awesome idea! bigger ba**s than most of us!

are you going to put full hydro steering on it?

if it were me, i would put a ford straight 6 turbo diesel, it should fit and give you enough tourqe to make it over anything...short of vertical walls....lol
