2.5TD risky purchase with high milage, 210.000 km ?
I am considering buying a diesel Cherokee XJ 2.5TD from late 90:ies or early 2000. Many have higher milage, around 20-250.000 km. Would this mean a great risk when it comes to engine, transmission and such heavier parts to replace or repair ? This in comparison with many other high quality milage cars as Audi, Volvo, MB.
I know the engine has some problems with the cylinderheads cracking ever now and then. Original are a bit yellow while replaced are more graphite grey. Is it likely that all heads will be replaced sooner or later or are there examples that will last the vehicle lifetime ?
