Hello everyone! My name is Dave Rohrkemper, I have a 94' XJ 5 speed. I'm a new member but i love this forum! Still trying to figure it all out!https://www.cherokeeforum.com/images...es/thumbup.gif I'm from nor cal and am from a jeep family! Just installed a 3" on my jeep and am in the process of getting tires, any good suggestions? I'm thinking some 31" Nexen M/T or some BF Goodrich A/T Thanks!

Hi can I join as an overseas member? I`m from the UK and 2door XJs are very rare over here, personal imports only. This one came in from Florida early 90s, purchased by a friend in 92 he sold it to another friend around 95, who used it until he parked it in 2000, I then asked him to sell it to me,he said " no I love that Jeep I`m going to restore it" Well after 10 years of me pestering him to sell it to me,I get a call. "Hey do you want that Jeep". "How much" I say. He said " nothing come and take it away" So I then became the proud owner of an 85 2.5L Laredo. The engine ran but the brakes and clutch were froze, so I bought a running 94 2.5L for £150 ($225)to use for parts, ended up using that for 6 months, then found a 98 4.0L that had not been used for over a year and paid £500 ($750)for it, this one developed a few faults so it was on to ebay to look for spares found a 97 4.0L one owner 5100miles had to have it (XJs are adictive) paid £780($1200).So I now owned 4 XJs Well to cut along story short, 2 inch lift on 97 with 31s,4.10 axles from 94 (now gone to breakers) . Back to the 85 my granddaughter wants it so when Ive finished restoring her fathers 65 mustang, I`ll start on it and post a build thread.

Yes! I go some 31" Duratracs for around $400 with 90% tread off of craigslist. So there are deals out there. Once I put them on my XJ, I took her up to a near by mountain and a mud hole in my neighborhood. The snow didnt stop me nor did the mud and it was deep snow. When I was looking for tires I researched the crap out of this subject and the Goodyear Duratracs were far superior in the all terrain category. Its pretty much a light mud tire with a warranty on it. Plus just the look of the tread pattern is a nice touch to the XJ. The best part about it though is the tires say Made In the USA

Same yourself a lot of money and get a set of awsome tires. Go to Treadwright Tire and look at their Guard Dog tire. I put a new set on my '94 2Dr and nothing will stop it, not mud or snow. Here is the link: https://www.treadwright.com
