Default Two Door Wagoneer

Latest morph of El Burro. This is a 1988 Wagoneer Limited grill on my 1996 Sport 4 x 4 two door. Gave it kind of a tuxedo look. I do take it out and get it dirty. Just like cleaning it up when I get home. It is a DD with lots of business hauling duties. So I can't leave it a mess.
Were there any factory two door wagoneers back in the day?

Here's a shot of mine pulling the latest addition to the family. It's an 01 sport with a cracked head. It will be getting the work over. There's 3 two doors in the family now. My brothers is a black 99. Mine and his are 5 speeds but I changed to 3.55 gears for towing obviously. The 01 is automatic.

Love crusin the Mtns. in New Mexico. The 89 2 dr. is a Jeep in name only.
Power is supplied by 2003 LS1 4.8 Chevy. Get 20 + mpg in town. Trans. is a 4L60 w/B&M quick shift. Front Diff. is a 88 grand Waggener Danna 44 with lockers. Rear is a 98 ford Explorer 8.8 with disc brakes. Front bumper is all alum. #75 lbs. used in a photo shoot in 2000. Hood cowl needed to clear engine intake manifold. In researching the engine it was the base power for a Suburban or Tahoe, both weighed 2000 lbs. more then the Cherokee. Most of the adaptor parts came from Novak. As they say plug and play, almost.

4.8 isn't an LS1. It's just a vortec LR4. Are you sure it's not just an ls1 intake manifold?

Kewl. Got any under-hood pics? And why a 4.8 instead of a 5.3?

Your right it is a LR4, Gen. 3+ rated at about 300hp and torque. It is a truck engine and the torque would be higher then a car.

I wanted a engine that mpg was around 20 which is what I get, and $$.
I paid 500 for it, and that's a bargain with low mileage.
