Here's a shot of mine pulling the latest addition to the family. It's an 01 sport with a cracked head. It will be getting the work over. There's 3 two doors in the family now. My brothers is a black 99. Mine and his are 5 speeds but I changed to 3.55 gears for towing obviously. The 01 is automatic.

I know a XJ is well within an XJ's tow rating, but still...

It's kind of like being chased by your evil twin. But seriously, it's the dead max I would ever do again. You have to plan braking way ahead. I have a manual so it wasn't much different than when I was towing a 10,000 pound tractor with a 95 F-150. I was surprised how much power it actually had and I got right around 17.5 mpg towing the XJ. The most I ever plan on towing with it again is maybe 3000 pounds and I'll have the disc brake upgrade done by then.

After years of driving the 2dr I'm hurting myself getting in & out of the 4dr! Darn door too small!

It's been a while. Since these I have bumped it up using a 3/4" spacers and MJ shackles, still haven't taken any pictures of it, small change but makes a difference.

Haha my dad keeps doing that, although leaving all 4 windows down as well doesn't help at all either

I will add my 2dr to the club. Gotta say I really like the 2dr.
It is an 85 with 2.5l completely stock so far.
This is it when I first brought it home a year ago, still on the Uniroyal Tiger Paws(lol)it had on it. Had been sitting in a driveway under a tree for nearly seven years.
I repainted the already repainted silver wheels with Rustoleum Hammered Bronze, the slight texture makes them look great and the color compliments the gray pretty well(needs to be repainted as the clearcoat is peeling)
Chasing a bad oil leak right now, but soon will look into other mods.
