neat to see a number of late year's here as well. mine's a 2000 sport, one owner before me. Family and I agree it was a stroke of fate with all the things surrounding the meeting of the family and purchase. She's my first car and baby. now close to 137k. we redid the roof-lining (twice to my chagrin) last summer and in the meantime i did some rear speaker upgrading. I've got an order for smoked clear front/side signal lights that should be in monday and an interior LED set on it's way as well. Juniper, as i've come to call her affectionately (as she has an attitude as prickly as a juniper bush) is a car I hope to have for the rest of my life. once it's no longer my daily driver I plan to revamp everything, body, interior, suspension and drop in a twin-turbo'ed AMC 401 and keep her street-bred.
The image is from the summer I first got her two years ago, though little has changed outwards. I'll post a new one once I get the new light covers on.
Also on the lookout for some OEM running boards for a body project over the summer. Anyone have any clue where I'd find a set? seems no one held onto their OEM sets since they didnt last on the trails..

3yrs after I started project I'm finally content. It runs like a sewing machine finally.
The seats are Ford GT seats, fabricated Jeep rails to fit. Novac supplied all the adaptor parts, and wiring including the flashing of the brain. Almost plug and play. The worst was the suspension, one thing led to another.
90 Cherokee Chevy powered V*8 - 88 Grand Wagoner Dana 44 front Diff. 4l60 Chevy Trans.
8.8 ford rear Diff.
Chevy 4.8 V LS 2003

This is my first Jeep and hopfully my last. 99' 4x4 auto Sport 288k
I feel that 4 doors to two too many!
Someone needs to come up with a website geared specifically to finding 2 door parts/and accessories.
Also if anyone knows where i could find a good used or even new set of rear quarter window gaskets w/ vent windows. I would love to know about it. The last owner added them and totally screwed up the gaskets putting it in.Now they leak like sivs. Oh and i have called five differant parts places and it has been discontinued four years ago.

Is it leaking from between the windows or around the rim? I thought the gasket around the whole assembly would be the same?? But I am not positive cause when I swapped mine I used the gasket that I took when I pulled them from the two door I got them from. I can't recall. I find two door XJ's in my neighbor hood yard all the time.
I'm not totally positive but i think that the frame for the glass vent window is built in. I guess I need to do a little more searching on it.

Have you tried a salvage yard? I would rather do that before spending money for new parts. It is very helpful to take a seal out so that you know how things come apart. I have a yard about a mile away that has xj's revolving in and out on a regular basis.

The LKQ pick and pull here doesnt tend to have any two doors. They usually are older four doors. Parts are quite scarce.
