Have a 96 xj bone stock and im putting 2 inch shackles and spacers. The package says i can fit 30 inch tires under it. Does any one have any pictures of this set up? Or if anyone eles has 2 inch lift with any other size tire can u post a pic of the rig and just comment wat sized tire. Im new at this xj stuff and want to see how much clearnce i have between the tires and the wheel well. I dont want to trim the fenders because this is my daily driver

 

2 inch RE budget on wornout springs. 235/75R15s (29 x 9.50) if ya measure em.

 

I'm runnin' 235x75x15 on the stock suspension and wheels with no rubbing at full lock. Other guys report being able to run 30x9.50x15 on stock suspension and wheels. 2" lift should clear 30x9.50x15s nicely. 31x10.50x15s might rub.

 

So even if i went on some back roads and did alittle bit of offroad trrail riding i wouldnt have a clearence problem?

I think 30s can fit stock without rubbing from turns, but full flex with no sway bars and you will rub the fenders. My track bar mount is screwed up so when I wheel with no sway bars my front left tire rubs on the LCA.

 

I recently got another set of wheels and tires, one set is 215 firestone destinations and the others are 225 Wranglers. I plan on running them till there bald and geting a bigger lift with bigger tires. Well you know what they say: Jack it right up, fat chicks cant jump

 

2" OME Suspension. Tires are LT235/75/15 BFG T/A KOs. Going to be upgrading to 30x9.5x15 in the same tire. I plan on keeping this set up for a quite sometime, so that's why I went with all new suspension components. The ride quality is amazing and well worth the money IMO.

Yeah I am thinking of doing a 2 inch lift for now with 30 tires.. anyway what would you recomend kind of 2 inch lift should i use? I am not really sure were to look? or should i just do the real cheap way and shackles in rear and blocks in front?

 

Welcome to the forum! BB lifts come in two main types of kits. The first is a coil spacer for the front and an add a leaf for the rear. The second type is a coil spacer for the front and a lift shackle for the rear. Now there are a few that come with lift coils for the front and blocks for the rear. I had the Rubicon Express 2 inch as my starter lift and 30x9.50 tires. Had no problems with it at all. The kit can be had with shocks for about 250. Good luck with whichever kit you choose.

 

It all really depends on how much many you want to spend, what kind of ride you want, and what your long term plans are your Jeep.

For me, I went the best quality suspension lift, and I knew I only wanted 2-2.5" with 30s because this will be the best choice for all the driving I do for now since this Jeep is my primary vehicle. (90% on road, 10% off road). I therefore purchased a complete Old Man Emu suspension lift with OME Coils, OME 10mm Coil Spacer, OME Shocks, OME Leaf Springs, and OME D22-XL AALs to handle the weight when loaded down. This suspension ran me quite a bit of coin but I was perfectly fine with that decision because the ride of my Jeep has only improved and in my book, OME is second to none when it comes to suspension.

If you plan on bumping up to 3.5"-5.5" in the future, I would just go with a coil spacer and AAL in the rear to get you up in the air for the time being. If you know you are going to stay at 2" for 3+ years, then I would strongly considered replacing the leaf springs, coils, and shocks with quality components.
