2001 cherokee limited
On Saturday I am heading down to a local dealership to look at a 2001 Cherokee Limited. Does anyone know where I can get a maintenance schedule for this vehicle? If I purchase this it will be my first experience owning a jeep and I need to know what lies ahead maintenance-wise.

I went through this whole process a year ago November.

I don't know much other than what I read on cars.com which puts together a sort of highlight of the options and standard equipment the vehicle has. I am sure you are familiar with cars.com. I am not going to do much to it other than replace parts OEM type stuff that I can get on an aftermarket basis.

the 2001 will have the 0331 head which is prone to cracking..these heads were used in 2000-2001..so thats something you need to be aware of.. other than that 2000s-01s used a coil pack, and instead of a HP d30 they have LP d30s.. that doesnt matter though if you are leaving it stock.
Look for oil leaks, coolant leaks, rust, drive it and see if there are any abnormal noises, etc.

x2 on what XJ88 is saying. Test Heat and AC. Also during your test drive don't just take it around the block. See if you can get some highway time and get it up to operating temp.

2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited A/C Problem
Pardon me if I've posted this in the wrong location.
I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited with air conditioning problems. Before I descend into the abyss of air conditioning shops and get rooked I would like to try a more sane approach. This vehicle was "willed" to me so I don't have a lot of history, but I do know the previous owner did not use the air conditioning much. When I first started troubleshooting I noted that the A/C clutch was not cycling. I bought a canister of R134a with a meter and followed the instructions. The A/C clutch began cycling but there was no cold air being generated. A friend told me the clutch was "short cycling" with was not correct. What do I know, I'm a computer network administrator? The blower motor works fine and the valve which opens the duct at the passengers side feet area works also. Only ambient air flows. Visually checked all fuses -Good.
Suggestions please?
