2001 Cherokee tire sizes
I have a 2001 Cherokee Classic. I need tires badly. I'm currently running 225.70.16. What is the largest size tire I could go without running or any interference? Thanks in advance with any advice

Average size of a 225/70-16 is 28.4 " tall and 8.9" wide. Closest size to a 235/75-15 is a 235/70-16.

Is this a Cherokee or a GRAND Cherokee?

For just a couple dollars more this tire is rated #2 in the all-terrain category.

And this one is rated #1 in the all-season highway category for couple dollars less than the A/T Kumho.

I've got 235-15 Falkens. Got almost 500mi on then. Jury is still out though. All four took a lot of weight to balance. Got a vibration in front from 30-40mph but then it'll smooth out. I got the Falkens because I figured they were the best in my price range. If I could have afforded it I would have gotten another set of General Grabber AT2"s. About $40 more per tire though. Best AT tire I've ever run. Cruiser54 speaks highly of the Khumo so that's says a lot in their favor.

One thing I've noticed is the selection in 225 isn't as good as 235. Most of them are all season not all terrain. I was wanting to get something with a bit more aggressive look but maybe I'll have to settle. Or just go with 235.
Another reason I was thinking of those two is for when I replace my MTR's. wanted to go with something cheaper and more road friendly in 33-12.5. The Kumho is a bit more pricey than the Falken in that size for some reason.
