I kind of like it (the 2014 Cherokee). Gonna try and convince my wife to get it instead of the Juke. We still have my '91 for true grit, stupid simple, ever reliable blizzard/hauling/grunt duty. Also I drive my XJ to work when it snows. My wife needs 4x4 or AWD, and this works. Def not as much a off-road warrior as the XJ obviously, but I do like it.

So, where do I hide?

Anyways it was just voted the ugliest car in the world by a British site, and it's not even being produced yet. Meanwhile, Jalopnik wrote more BS on how "Capable" and "Better" it is than the XJ. I wanted to kill myself.

The Brits are highly critical though, and European styling has a huge variance from traditional American styling. Even though Fiat played a huge hand in this new Cherokee, it is still a mix of Americana and Italiana, and purists will hate that. Hopefully all this hate will keep the price tag low

Jalopnik is retarded. While I like this new vehicle, it is NOT the world renowned XJ by any comparison.

God that artical pisses me off. They got 3 facts about the XJ wrong. The engine HP, ground clearance, and achievable MPG. Not to mention the tool who made it doesn't know jack-crap about offroading.... WHAT THE ACTUAL ****, A 9-speed auto and no standard tranny available?! God that's retarded.

I am sure I'll be cruxified for saying this but, I like it. It's a big change and isn't meant to be what the XJ was but, it's a very different car market today. 20mpg and the old safety standards simply would not cut it. I like the new Cherokee as what is but, it would not replace my XJ. Of course, mine isn't exactly stock to start out with.

The like the looks of the Trail Hawk version.

I'm starting to like the basic shape of the front, my only issue is the headlights and that massive bumper. The back still makes my stomach churn though. And I'll agree on paper it's a great little crossover and i doubt anyone here would even care to hate on it IF it didn't use the Cherokee name. If they called it something different i would be perfectly fine with it.
